Note of caution - 5 Guys Burger & Fries does fry in pure 100% PEANUT oil. Not typical so be aware.

This recipe looks great! I used to love banana bread in pre-celiac days. I can't eat bananas as they are because they give me terrible stomach pains but I'm hoping I can eat them mixed up in a recipe like this :)

Hi Allyson,

Thanks so much for your kind comments on my hamburger buns. We can't live without them! Harold is quiet funny about them, but I think that is because we really haven't found anything like them. Soft, fluffy and holds up. Of course, we always eat them within the first 3-4 days. I usually make my own blend for cooking, but when I found that the pie crust could work with rice flour, I thought I would use a blend to make it better. Grandpa's Kitchen was the first blend I tried and it has worked well. I know you and you know me in person too. At least I think I have met all of your staff through all the fairs we do. I am with GIG of Utah County and work with the Chef to Plate program with the restaurants and also with New Grains. I would love to give you some marketing tips. I work with it all and can give you some pointers! It is a crazy world and you almost need someone in the family to make that their thing. It takes time, but I can help cut through some of the extra things and give you some ideas to streamline it. Would love to. Just give me a call 717-0346 and we can chat. I am just in Utah County. Not too far from you. :) Thanks again Allyson! Enjoy the your hamburger! We also like to take them to Arby's! Makes a great 'safe' sandwhich!

Roxanne,
I was at Family Odyssey last year and had the pleasure of eating your fabulous hamburger buns. Half of my family (mom and siblings) eat gluten-free and I am always looking for good recipes. I finally got a hold of Harold and asked him for your hamburger bun recipe because I am missing them!! What a surprise it was to read your pumpkin pie recipe and see that you use Grandpa's Kitchen flour blend, that is our company!! We started it about four years ago now and we think it is the best blend on the market, of course. I hope you are enjoying it as much as we do. Thank you so much for the free "marketing," it is always nice to hear that someone has used something and it is good, it is just too expensive to buy something and try it without knowing.

We are currently working on getting into Wal-Mart, a little scary for us, and into the Associated Foods warehouse which will really launch our products, really scary for us!!! I saw you are a "marketing enthusiast," we would love to hear any ideas you may have on how we can improve our marketing. We are just a mom and pop company moving along by trial and error.

Again, thank you for the hamburger bun recipe, I am going to make them today!!!
Have a great day,
Allyson

Hi Adele! Thanks for the message earlier. It is amazing how much is related to Celiac and how much can be cleared up when following a 100% gluten free diet. Touch base anytime! @roxlive on twitter too.

Roxanne, Thank you so much for sharing! I am having to totally rethink things now that we think my sickness is related to Celiac's. I look forward to reading more from you and maybe chatting sometime. Again thanks for sharing this. Adele
